keep your skin soft for fall

As we all know, as soon as the weather starts to get cooler, our skin starts to get drier.  There are many fabulous natural options to keeping your skin soft and smooth even when it's cold, wet and miserable outside.

Use products with natural ingredients like honey, beeswax, shea butter, aloe vera and essential oils.  Natural ingredients can provide positive effects for your skin.  Honey, for example, is an anti-oxidant and peppermint oil can ease sinus pain.

If you're feeling adventurous try this homemade skin softener.  It will not only leave your skin feeling amazingly soft, it will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.  Treat it like your own mini spa treatment!

I found this recipe from site called "it's to live green".  It worked really well and made my skin feel unbelievably rejuvenated.  

Honey facial scrub

You will need:

  • 1 teaspoon finely ground almonds
  • 2 teaspoons finely ground oats
  • 1 tablespoon plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 drop of lavender essential oil

Mix all ingredients together, dampen your skin with warm water and then gently massage the scrub on to your damp skin. Rinse your face with warm water.
