- Completion of retrofitting all parking lot lights. Park Royal is now saving enough energy to power over 100 homes for a year.
June 1, 2008
- Changed interior lights to more energy efficient formats - resulting in an energy savings of 40% to 72%
- Park Royal has invested in excess of $500,000 to retrofit over 3,000 parking lot lights. The annual power savings will be more than 1 million kilowatts annually.
- Reduced gas consumption with recommendations from Terasen
- Purchased two smaller, more efficient boilers in North Mall
- Purchased propane-powered maintenance and security vehicles to replace gasoline-based engines
