- In 2008, at Park Royal, over 50 non-profit groups and organizations raised more than $150,000 through events and fundraising in the shopping centre. Community groups included Canadian Cancer Society (Daffodil Sale), North Shore Crisis Services Society, Girl Guides, Canuck Place Children's Hospice, Telus Tour for the Cure, Knights of Columbus, and Salvation Army (Christmas Kettles).

- The Rotary Club of West Vancouver displayed a ShelterBox at Park Royal South near the Food Court. The ShelterBox Project helps people in their worst times to provide them comfort and a place to call home for the period of time that it takes them to rebuild their lives after a natural disaster.
- The Village at Park Royal held the 2nd Annual Bed Races and was a huge success, raising close to $27,000 for the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation. Nearly 200 people participated at this event. The proceeds that were raised helped with the purchase of hospital beds, pain management pumps and stretchers for Lions Gate Hospital.
- This Holiday Season, proceeds from Santa Photos, the Village Horse & Carriage Ride and $.50 from the sale of each Park Royal gift card will be donated to the North Shore Crisis Services Society.
- A North Shore Christmas Bureau box is located in Park Royal South where gifts can be donated.
- The Salvation Army Toy Drive will be held at Park Royal North. The Beat 94.5 will be on location to help with gathering new and unwrapped toys to benefit less fortunate families in the Lower Mainland.

- In 2008, Park Royal held several events to create awareness about environmental and social issues. The first was a successful shoe drive where over 1500 pairs of shoes were collected. Shoes were donated to the Lookout Emergency Aid Society, Dress for Success and the North Shore Crisis Services Society. Other events included Clean Air Day 2008, a reusable bag giveaway in which 4000 bags were handed out, and an electronic recycling drive where used electronics were collected and given to the Electronic Recycling Association who refurbished them and donated them to schools and churches in need.
